Program Speakers

Larry Biddle received a bachelorís degree from St. Maryís College of California and a masterís degree in Spanish from Middlebury College Graduate School. He has been a lifelong educator and businessman, serving his community and Coastal Carolina University for more than 30 years. Biddle serves on the Board of Trustees of Coastal Carolina University, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service degree in 2007.

Ed Cerny earned a bachelorís degree from the University of Kentucky, an MBA from Fordham University and a doctorate degree from USC. In 1995, he founded the Coachís Corner, a corporate encouragement company creating visionary leadership and team-building programs. He also is the author of Notes From the Coach, Learn to Market Yourself and Old Coaches Never Die, We Just Run Out of Timeouts.

Michael Collins earned a bachelorís degree in humanities from Michigan State University, a master of science degree in strategic leadership from Mountain State University and a doctorate degree in hospitality management from The Ohio State University. He is an associate professor of resort tourism management in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

Martha Hunn earned a bachelorís degree in political science from Coastal Carolina University and is a graduate of the CEO track of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management. She joined Coastal Carolina University as director of news and public affairs in the Office of University Communication in April 2009. Prior to joining the University, she served as evening news anchor for WBTW News 13 in Myrtle Beach.

Bridgette Johnson earned a bachelorís degree in English and secondary education from Coastal Carolina University and a master of arts degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina. She serves as executive vice president of the Conway Chamber of Commerce and has more than 15 years of experience in promotions and public relations.

Kay Keels earned, a master of education degree in recreation administration from the University of Georgia, a master of divinity degree from Emory University and a doctorate degree in strategic management from the University of South Carolina. She serves as an associate professor of strategic management Colonel Lindsey V. Vereen Endowed Professor at the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

Angela Kegler earned a masterís degree in business ethics and business administration from Duquesne University and a doctorate degree in organizational management and leadership from Capella University. She is an award-winning businesswoman and is the CEO of the Kegler Group, a fullservice training and development company.

Linda Kuykendall earned a bachelorís degree from Loyola University of the South and a masterís degree in organizational communication from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She serves as a senior instructor of communication in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University.

Mark A. Mitchell earned his doctorate degree in business administration from Mississippi State University, an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a bachelorís degree in business administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He serves as professor of marketing and chair of the Department of Management, Marketing and Law in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

Anne Trainer Monk has been an English major at USC Coastal Carolina College, and a graduate student in journalism at the University of South Carolina and in communications management at Syracuse University. She serves as special assistant to the president and director of executive communication at Coastal Carolina University.

Barbara A. Ritter earned a bachelorís degree in psychology from Grand Valley State University, a master of arts degree and a doctorate degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Akron. She is the Blanton Endowed Associate Professor of Management in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

Erika Small earned a bachelorís degree in psychology with a business administration minor from Louisiana State University and a doctorate degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Tennesseeís College of Business Administration. She is an assistant professor of management in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University.

Ray Snyder is a Charleston native who received a bachelorís degree in management from The Baptist College at Charleston and an MBA and Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Charleston Southern University. He has two decades of experience teaching internationally as a senior partner with Ken Blanchard, who is the author of The One Minute Manager. Snyder is a full-time instructor of business and ethics at Trident Technical College and is author of The Business of Families - Skills from Work that Work at Home.
