Biography:
Dr. Smith received her BA in Philosophy from California State University in Sacramento, and she received her MA and PhD in Philosophy from University of Colorado, Boulder. Her most recent publications include,


“Shoemaker’s Moderate Qualia Realism and the Problem of Transparency.” Disputatio 2:22 (2007): 101-113.

“Representation, Inversion and Color Constancy.” Kriterion 21 (2007): 1-15.

“Comparing Learning Outcomes between Traditional and Distance Introduction to Philosophy Courses” with Linda Palm. Discourse: Learning and Teaching in Philosophy and Religious Studies 6:2 (2007); 205-226.


Dr. Smith is also the co-director of the Summer Ethics Academy, a summer program in ethics held on CCU's campus for area 6th graders.
