CCU All Campus: ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll -- Flag
Rankings Week Final Week: RANK - TEAM - RECORD - PTS - PVS
1. White Guys in Tie Dye 7-0 794 1
Congratulations to our 2008 A League Flag Football Champions. Also winning the state tournament, White Guys in Tie Dye finished the year with a perfect record and was our #1 team all season. Led by A League MVP Ryan Callihan, the guys are setting their hopes high when they travel to UNC-Wilmington to compete in the Regional Tournament in early November, good luck guys.
Last Week: Def. Franchi$e 38-26 This Week: 2. Franchi$e 6-1 702 2
Looking for their first A League Championship, Franchi$e was stopped just short of their goal being defeated by White Guys in Tie-Dye in the Championship game. Look for this young team to do some damage next season though.
Last Week: Loss to White Guys in Tie-Dye 38-26 This Week: 3. U Don't Wanna Know 4-2 659
Coming on strong at the end of the year, U Don't Wanna Know took our number 3 spot at the end of the season. Playing a rematch of the Palmetto Cup Finals, UDWK saw the same outcome, coming up just short of White Guys in Tie-Dye in their Semi-Final game. They too will be traveling to UNCW to compete in the Regional Tournament, good luck guys.
Last Week: Loss to White Guys in Tie-Dye 24-13 This Week: 4. Iceland 6-1 613 3
Possibly our most over rated team in A League, Iceland still finished off the season with a 6-1 record and with something to be proud of. Making it all the way to the Semi-Final game where they were dominated by Franchi$e, Iceland had some internal controversy and arguments which led to their struggle on the field. Lets see if they can pull it together for their other intramural sports teams.
Last Week: Loss to Franchi$e 27-0 This Week: 5. Delta Chi Danger Squad 8-0 610 10
Easily winning the B League Championship and jumping way up to the polls to the number 5 spot is Delta Chi Danger Squad. Led by quarterback and B League MVP D'Marco Lankes, the squad didn't have any trouble getting those sought after t-shirts this year. Good luck to those of you who will be playing with Don't Hastle the Hoff at UNCW.
Last Week: Def. Riot Squad 51-19 This Week: 6. Flatline 3-2 560 4
Having a rough end to their season, Flatline lost their last two games of the season to rivals Franchi$e and UDWK, but have high hopes for the future. Being very young, they should do some damage in the years to come
Last Week: Loss to U Don't Wanna Know 25-7 This Week: 7. Think Twice 6-0 523 8
Winning our first year of Women's League play, Think Twice dominated the competition. Not losing a game all season and out scoring their opponents 106-12 led to their Coastal Championship. Congratulations girls.
Last Week: Def. Phi Sig Killaz 19-0 This Week: 8. Northern Lights - Nuggets 6-1 490 7
Dropping one spot in our polls is Northern Lights - Nuggets. Led by receiver Kevin Koistra and quarterback Chris Radon, the guys couldn't pull out the Semi-Final win against the eventual champions, Delta Chi. Overall they had a great season and they don't have anything to hang their heads about.
Last Week: Def. Franchi$e 38-26 This Week: 9. Riot Squad 7-2 489 Unranked
Who would have thought that the Riot Squad would have made it as far as they did?! This underdog team had every intention of making it as far as they did. Led by stud receiver C. Brooks Folk, the squad came up just short of their championship dreams but had a great end of season run.
Last Week: Loss to Delta Chi Danger Squad 51-19 This Week: 10. Wild Wingers 5-1 463 6
Dropping considerably in the rankings after their second round loss in the playoffs, the Wild Wingers round off our top ten for this season. Even though they exited the playoffs so quickly, the wingers had a great season and should be very proud of what they accomplished. We'll see you guys in A League next year.
Last Week: Loss to 864Sho 21-7 This Week:
