Coastal Carolina University’s 2014 New Student Convocation, held Sunday, Aug. 17, at the HTC Center, welcomed approximately 2,400 freshmen to campus.

CCU art professor elected to European Academy

Arne R. Flaten, chair of the Department of Visual Arts at CCU, has been elected to the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), the first professor in CCU’s history, and the first in the state of South Carolina, to receive this distinction.
