'Dust, Drought traveling exhibition comes to CCU library

“Dust, Drought and Dreams Gone Dry,” a traveling exhibition and discussion series, is on display at CCU’s Kimbel Library through Friday, Dec. 12. The exhibit and lecture series are free and open to the public.

The second annual Running Dead 5k race will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, at 4:30 p.m. at the Hulk Trail in Myrtle Beach. Proceeds from the race will go to Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation and Sport Management Club.

Trustees approve new degree programs

At its quarterly board meeting Oct. 24,CCU’s board of trustees approved three new degree programs: a bachelor’s degree in engineering science, a bachelor’s degree in art history and an education specialist degree in instructional technology.

Coastal Carolina University’s World Music Ensemble will present an evening of music from around the world on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. General admission is $5.
