The Study of African Politics in Contemporary Global Affairs by lebarnet on 2012-01-17 08:18:13

Faculty Research Mentor: Dr. Richard Aidoo

The study of African politics is instrumental toward eliminating preconceptions and determining what stories portrayed in the media actually reflect what takes place on the continent. It is important to study African politics in international affairs for several reasons. African politics can help with understanding Africa’s economic and political development. Embracing this area of study is also helpful toward understanding the dynamics of relationships between Africa and other countries in the international community. The history, ethnicity issues, economy challenges, and political structures of Africa enable us to gain a fuller picture of the international community. Thus this presentation will reveal some significant reasons for exploring issues pertaining to African politics.
