Location: Three main campuses – two in Exeter (Streatham and St. Luke) and one at Tremough, near Falmouth in Cornwall. The city of Exeter, only a 15-minute walk away from the main campus, has a population of 115.000.

Tuition fees: $4,895 (2012-2013 In-State Tuition Rate)
Accommodations Cost: Standard Self-catering accommodation is approximately $2,700 - $3,000 for the Fall semester study and $4,500 - $4,900 for the Spring semester.  Living allowance, books, etc are approximately $4,700 for a semester and $9,400 for an academic year.

Accommodations: University Flats
We have nearly 5,500 places in purpose-built flats. All rooms are single and again we offer different types of room. Standard rooms have a washbasin in the room with up to 12 students sharing the bathrooms/showers, kitchen and lounge facilities. Enhanced rooms benefit from improved communal facilities and en-suite rooms have a shower, washbasin and toilet in the room with up to eight students sharing the other facilities. All study bedrooms in our purpose-built flats are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bookshelves, desk and chair, desk lamp or built-in lighting, and a notice board and have a phone and high speed network/internet link. The kitchens are modern and well-equipped and the communal areas have coffee tables, easy chairs and a TV. We have a number of en-suite rooms at ground level which are suitable for students with a range of disabilities. Please discuss your personal needs with the Accommodation Office who will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.

All exchange students reside in self-catering accommodations in either LaFrowda Standard or James Owen Court.

Frequently Asked Questions

Upon arrival in country, are students met at the airport or do students need to find their own way to campus?

For students coming for the first semester or the academic year, there is a Meet and Greet Service organized which student can book on to (there is a charge) and it brings them from Heathrow to campus. This is on the Sunday before Welcome Week. Students can choose to make their own way. For second semester students, they must make their own way. Full details on how to get to Exeter are given on our website and in the International Students’ Handbook which is sent to students.

Once at your university, what can students expect in the way of an orientation?

Do students need to report to your office immediately to check in? For first semester/one year students there is a week long orientation. For second semester students, because there is no break between the semesters, a one day orientation is organized with social events in the week. Students do not need to check in with immediately.

Once on campus, do students need to register for their courses or are they automatically placed in the courses previously submitted on their initial application? If they need to register, what must they do?

First semester/one year students meet with their Schools on Schools day to finalize their module choices and register for them. They are not automatically placed in the courses on their learning agreement. They are given a module registration form and must get each module signed off by the relevant School coordinator (if taking modules in more than one School).
