The island nation of Iceland is one of the world’s greatest visual treasures. Numerous books of photography have been published that feature Iceland's fascinating geography. With sites ranging from volcanoes and waterfalls to black beaches and offshore rock formations, it is truly unlike any other place in the world. Iceland also has a strong tradition of performance; there are some 7 fully to partially state funded theatres in Reykjavik, and a national school of theatre and art. The Reykjavik theatre scene is very active and students will be exposed to theatrical production of very high quality.
