Offering a study abroad program in German language and culture will offer participants a focused, concentrated language learning experience. Munich is an ideal setting for such a program. It offers the cultural amenities of a big city, is a major transportation and tourism center, and has a wide range of recreational opportunities (e.g. the Alps are an easy day trip away). Included in the program are excursions to the Dachau Memorial and Bavarian royal castles. Students will have additional travel opportunities on weekends, e.g. to Austria (Salzburg). This program will be based at an established language school, Inlingua, in Munich and their website is http://www.inlingua-muenchen.de/9903.html?&L=1

"I spent a year as a student in Munich and I absolutely loved it. There is no other place like it in Germany, or in Europe. Here's your chance to experience it for yourself - at the best time possible. In spring the city is awake and invigorated from a long winter's slumber. The cafes open their windows, the Englischer Garten buds and blooms, the markets are brimming with flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, and the Biergarten are buzzing." |
