The University of Exeter is located in the city of Exeter, England. This is a beautiful city with a rich history, after the Roman occupation, had its beginnings as a Saxon settlement about 600 A.D. Coastal’s exchange program with Exeter is for science majors only, and is limited to students studying biology. Coastal is pleased to have been instrumental in establishing the Palmetto Partnership-UCN. Each year Coastal and other Partnership institutions – College of Charleston and Winthrop University – select a group of students to spend the spring semester studying at UCN in Northampton, England. In return, partnership institutions welcome an equal number of students from UCN. British students come to South Carolina as part of their American Studies degree program. This is an excellent opportunity for students to study at the university level within the British education system and earn credit toward degree requirements in the United States.
