Biography: Todd Cherner is an assistant professor of education. As part of the Spadoni College of Education’s faculty, Todd teaches literacy courses and English teaching methods course to pre-service middle and high school teachers. Todd is originally from Orlando and holds a professional teaching license issued by the state of Florida. For his education, Todd earned his high school diploma from Lake Mary High School, his associates of arts degree from Valencia Community College, his bachelors of education from the University of Central Florida, his masters of education from Clemson University, and his doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee. Todd’s personal mission for his work is to help support marginalized populations by preparing highly qualified teachers to work in schools that traditionally serve these populations. Additionally, Todd is very interested in using technology to support students’ digital literacy skills.
