Posted: August 27, 2012, 4:22 pm
Last Updated: November 4, 2012, 8:42 am

Phishing attempts and fraudulent E-mails continue to be a major threat worldwide. While the content and the way these scam E-mails are presented may vary (either directly asking for usernames and passwords or providing a web link that may eventually prompt the individuals for usernames and passwords), the goal is to steal usernames/passwords or other sensitive information to compromise accounts for worldwide spamming and other purposes.

We need your help in keeping your digital identity secured and computer healthy:

· Please do not give your usernames and passwords via E-mail, phone, or on suspicious web sites.

· Please do not click on suspicious web links.

· Please confirm with ITS if you receive suspicious E-mail messages or links to web sites.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (ITS) DOES NOT ASK FOR USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS VIA EMAIL OR TELEPHONE.

Please contact ITS at (843) 349-2084 or (843) 349-2080 for account concerns.
