Information Technology Services (ITS) is required to review all computer hardware, computer peripherals and software purchases to assure compatibility and functionality on Coastal Carolina University's networks. When considering a technology purchase please submit a ticket to the ITS Help Desk to request assistance. An Information Resource Consultant (IRC) will be assigned to assist in determining the best solution for your technology needs including compatibility, reliability, licensing, total cost of ownership and South Carolina state contract vendor information. The IRC will assist in obtaining quotes and ITS approval needed to complete technology related Purchase Requisitions. Once items are received, an IRC will install, support and assist in training and utilization of your technology purchases.
ITS continuously researches, tests and evaluates computer systems, printers, upgrades and peripherals for use at Coastal Carolina University. The university purchases from major vendors including Apple, Dell, Hewlett Packard, and Xerox.
