Technology Purchases
Information Technology Services (ITS) is required to review all computer hardware, computer peripherals and software purchases to assure compatibility and functionality on Coastal Carolina University's networks. When considering a technology purchase please contact your Information Resource Consultant (IRC). Your IRC will assist in determining the best solution for your technology needs including compatibility, reliability, licensing, total cost of ownership and South Carolina state contract vendor information. Additionally your IRC will assist in completion of the Purchase Requisition form and ITS approval. Once items are received, your IRC will install, support and assist in training and utilization of your technology purchases.
Hardware
ITS continuously researches, tests and evaluates computer systems, printers, upgrades and peripherals for use at Coastal Carolina University. The university purchases from major vendors including Apple, Dell, Hewlett Packard, MPC/Gateway and Xerox. Please contact your IRC for current hardware recommendations.
