| Biography: |
Julinna earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy at Tulane
University. Her dissertation, “Empathy in Contractual Theories of
Ethics,” examines the role of empathy in reasoning about moral and
political principles. The dissertation engages a wide range of
issues: moral emotions, practical reasoning, political philosophy,
moral psychology, feminist theory, and economic theory. Before
coming to CCU, she served as the Managing Editor for the journal
Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
Julinna's research
interests include issues in ethical theory, the role of emotions in
moral deliberation, feminist political philosophy, the effects of
economic and democratic growth on culture, globalization and modern
life, and reproduction and rights. |
