What is a placement test?

Students arrive at Coastal Carolina University with a variety of academic backgrounds. Placement tests for mathematics and foreign languages (Spanish, French, and German) have been developed to assist students and advisors as they plan course schedules. These placement tests provide a suggested starting course in the particular subject.

Foreign Language Placement Guidelines

You will need your University username and Password in order to take the placement tests.

Search for your Coastal Carolina University Username and PIN.

Important Notice!

You are required to take the Foreign Language placement test prior to attending an Orientation session.

Please note that failure to complete the placement test prior to Orientation may result in your inability to enroll in a foreign language course.

After completing the test, it would be prudent to print out your placement results and bring them with you to orientation.
