When he isn't handling dire Writing Center related emergencies or navigating the twists and turns of student writing, he advises students, teaches a Success Seminar, and points out where students can get their computers repaired (down the hall and to your right).

Shirell serves the office in a number of administrative as well as coordinating capacities. A native of Conway, she has been an employee of the university for many years. Shirell worked with the College of Humanities and Fine Arts for twenty four years before joining the University Academic Center. Accurate, detailed, and organized are but a few adjectives that can be used to describe Shirell. Students, faculty, and staff rely heavily on her knowledge and skill.
