Education Abroad Opportunities
Studying a language and culture abroad is strongly recommended for language learners, both majors and minors. Faculty from the LIS department lead unique program options during the Maymester term that travel to destinations such as Costa Rica, Spain and Germany. LIS students can also participate in an exchange partner program for an entire semester of study and cultural immersion OR choose from diverse options through CCU’s third-party providers! Intensive language options, defined as programs that allow students to fulfill four semesters (180 contact hours) of language learning in one semester or 8- to 10-week summer session, include the following and other programs:

- Lorenzo de’ Medici in Rome, Italy (semester or summer)

- RUSSIAN
- Narxoz University in Almaty, Kazakhstan (semester exchange)
- SPANISH
- Spanish Language Study Center in Granada, Spain with IES Abroad (semester only)
