Media Collection
Located throughout Kimbel Library, the media collection encourages student research and supports classroom education through entertainment. The media collection includes DVDs, videos, CDs, CD-ROMs, posters, models, and maps formats. Discover new materials added to the collection throughout the year.

Horry County Oral History Project
The Horry County Oral History Project includes nearly 90 interviews conducted with a broad spectrum of Horry County residents between the years 1975 to 1996. Interviewees include a range of average and prominent citizens. Most of the interviews were conducted in the 1990s. Many taped interviews have been transcribed.

Jackson Family Resource Center for Ethics and Values
Established in 2004, the Jackson Family Center for Ethics and Values serves as a leader in cultivating and promoting an awareness of the importance and effectiveness of personal and professional integrity. The Jackson Resource Center makes more than 500 resources available that promote reflection, discussion, and resolution of ethical challenges in the fields of science, business, education, the arts, and the humanities.

Japan Foundation
Kimbel Library is one of only five academic libraries in the United States partnered with the Japan Foundation Library in Tokyo, Japan. The Japan Foundation "specializes in international cultural exchange in Japan." These materials serve as educational resources in the study of Japanese society.

Robert J. Jackson Women's Studies Collection
Florida Yeldell established The Robert J. Jackson Women's Studies Collection in 2004, in memory of her father. It includes more than 200 volumes including biographies, autobiographies and nonfiction works by women. The collection highlights "the universality of women" and the global world in which we live.

Waccamaw Collection
The Waccamaw collection consists of more than 1000 published books, magazines, pamphlets, and audio/visual materials documenting Southern history, specifically the Waccamaw Neck region of South Carolina. The collection includes primary source materials as well as monographs on the history of the area and the individuals who shaped the region.
