Delivery of Materials to the Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Waccamaw Higher Education Centers.Kimbel Library will provide delivery of materials to the Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Waccamaw Higher Education Centers. All materials may be picked up at the front desk of each satellite campus with a picture ID. Delivery to the Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Waccamaw locations is a service provided for CCU students who are taking classes primarily at these outreach centers. Students who are taking classes at the main campus in Conway are encouraged to acquire needed library materials while at the Conway campus. Materials Available for DeliveryPrint materials, including government documents, that are housed in the Library's circulating collections are available for delivery. Books in the Reference Collection or Waccamaw Room are not available for delivery. Non-print materials such as videos, DVD's, kits, computer disks, audio tapes, LP's, CD's, and CD-ROM's are also not available for delivery.Journal articles contained in titles owned by the Library will be photocopied and sent to the outreach centers. Individual issues, bound volumes or microfilm reels are not available for delivery. Many journal titles may be available from the Library's full text periodical indexes. Requested articles available in full-text from these databases will not be delivered to the Georgetown, Myrtle Beach or Waccamaw Centers. Journal articles owned by Kimbel Library but not available in full-text will be scanned and delivered electronically. The requestor will recieve an e-mail when the article is available with instructions on how to download their article from the Kimbel Library website. Placing Requests for Kimbel Library Materials
Returning items, fines, and copying feesAll books borrowed must be returned to the front desk of the outreach location or to Kimbel Library in Conway by the date stamped in the back of the book. Books returned after the due date will be assessed a $.10 per day overdue fine.Please note that charges on your record exceeding $1.00 will result in a block of your Library privileges. Books may be renewed by telephone at 349-2400 or online using MyLibrary through the Library's web page. Renewals must be made prior to the due date stamped on the book. Overdue fines may be paid by mail. Send a check made out to Coastal Carolina University to: Kimbel Library Circulation Department Coastal Carolina University PO Box 261954 Conway, SC 29526Please include a note telling the library exactly what you are paying for and send it with your check. A receipt will be sent to you by return mail. Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Waccamaw Delivery or Interlibrary Loan requests will not be processed unless the Cited in: and Other Information: boxes of the ILL form are correctly entered. Abuse of this service will result in the loss of delivery privileges. Abuse will be determined by Kimbel Library staff. Examples of abuse may include but are not limited to: excessive overdues or failure to return delivered materials, failure to pay fines, or excessive requests for materials when the individual is also taking classes at the Conway campus. Placing "True" Interlibrary Loan Requests for materials not owned by the LibraryTo place interlibrary loan requests for materials not owned by Kimbel Library, students should fill out the ILL form as indicated above with one exception. The Cited in: box of the ILL form should contain the title of the source of the citation of the requested item, e.g., Expanded Academic ASAP, ERIC, WorldCat, BasicBIOSIS, etc.Interlibrary loan materials from other libraries cannot be renewed online. The requester must bring the material(s) to the ILL office in Kimbel Library to request a renewal or call the interlibrary loan office at 349-2411.
