If instructors do not wish to use their personal materials, they can request the material be purchased by the library. Materials owned by other libraries cannot be placed on reserve. All materials will be taken off reserve at the end of the semester (or sooner at the instructor's request). Instructor owned materials will be returned via inter-campus mail; library owned materials will be re-shelved in the circulating collection. Instructors will be notified of the number of times each reserve item was used, but the library is unable to provide the names of the users. The Library reserve policy is in compliance with Title 17, United States Code. Back to top 2. The reserve item can be renewed via Internet or by calling the circulation desk (ext. 2400) as long as the item is not overdue. Once the item becomes overdue, the late fee must be paid before the item can be renewed. Back to top 3. General InformationLibrary course reserve collections are established at the request of an instructor to ensure that all students in his/her classes have equal access to required materials. When establishing a reserve collection, professors should consider the class size and the amount of material involved before deciding how many copies of an item should be placed on reserve and the length of time materials may circulate. In order to view or checkout a reserve, the student must present their current CINO Card. Also, please note our overdue fine policy, established to ensure prompt return of reserve materials.
