Kimbel Library's Databases that Provide Full-Text Content
Kimbel Library provides online access to over 2,000 electronic journals and 11,000 electronic
books through the library website.
JSTOR (Journal Storage)
- Provides full-text articles from 449 journals in many different subject areas, including
the Humanities, Business, and Sciences.
Project Muse
- Provides full-text articles from about 250 journals, mainly in the Humanities but
including some in other disciplines.
Science Direct
- Provides full-text articles from over 1,000 journals in the sciences, social sciences,
business, education, and humanities disciplines.
ACM Digital Library
- Provides full-text access to all publications of the Association for Computing Machinery,
including journals, conference proceedings, newsletters and transactions.
IEEE Digital Library
- Provides full-text access to 22 magazines and transactions of the IEEE Computer Society,
as well as the full-text of over 1,200 IEEE conference proceedings.
Infotrac Onefile
- Provides full-text articles for many journals, magazines, and newspapers. Not all articles
will be full-text; click “Journal Finder” to see if the library has journals that are not available
in full-text. Covers most disciplines, including science, humanities, and business.
Infotrac Custom Newspapers
- Provides full-text articles from more than 100 national and international newspapers,
including the Charleston Post and Courier and the New York Times.
NewsBank InfoWeb
- Includes NewsBank NewsFile, which has full-text articles from regional and national
newspapers, Business Newsbank, which has full-text articles from business newspapers,
periodicals, and newswires, and The State (Columbia, SC) newspaper archive from 1987-present.
NetLibrary
- Kimbel Library has access to over 11,000 full-text ebooks through NetLibrary. Available
titles cover many disciplines, including the sciences, humanities, business, and education.
