IMPORTANT NEW LIBRARY LOGIN INFORMATION
PLEASE READ
In compliance with CCU regulations regarding the use of Social Security Numbers, Kimbel Library has implemented the following changes
in login procedures.
The Library requires users to login for the functions listed below.
- View your library record
- Renew materials online
- Interlibrary Loan requesting
- Off-campus access to online databases & electronic resources
The new MyLibrary portal will pre-authenticate you for all of the above functions. You no longer need to enter your social security
number or use a separate Library PIN to log in. The MyLibrary login requires only your name and your 7 digit University ID (UID)
number. If you do not know your UID number, click here.
MyLibrary allows users to perform the functions listed above without multiple authentications. Multiple interlibrary loan requests can
be submitted without re-authenticating.
Users can also set up an alerting function in the online catalog. This function is named Preferred Searches. By saving a search
performed in the catalog, an email will be sent to you when any new materials meeting that search criteria are added to the library
collection. Example: Perform an author search for John Public, when results are displayed (even if no entries were found), click the
Save Search button. When any materials by that author are added to the collection, you will receive an email.
If you are a non-Coastal library patron and have a library card issued by Kimbel Library, you may log in to MyLibrary, but are limited
to viewing your library record and online renewal of materials. You log in to MyLibrary by entering your name and the barcode number
affixed to your library card.
ALSO
CCU students, faculty and staff will be able to be automatically logged in to MyLibrary via the
MyCoastal portal.
Simply log in to MyCoastal using your CCU username and PIN, then click the MyLibrary link from the MyCoastal main page or
select the Academics Tab and then click the MyLibrary link from the MyLibrary channel. No additional
login information will be needed.
