Distance Learning Library ServicesStudents enrolled in courses at one of Coastal’s off-campus sites or taking a class online may not be able to make it to the Conway campus to use Kimbel Library in person but we are committed to bringing the library’s resources to you wherever you are. Faculty teaching classes at any of Coastal’s sites are encouraged to enhance their students’ research by requesting library instruction. This can be accomplished via Coastal’s videoconference capability or by requesting that a librarian visit your classroom in person. Sessions will be geared towards students’ current research needs, incorporating both Kimbel Library and other area library resources. Click here for more information on library instruction. See the links below for more information.
As a CCU student you have full library privileges which include the ability to check out library materials and access our online indexes from off campus. To locate materials owned by Kimbel Library, search the online catalog. Click on books to learn how Kimbel Library can get books to you through our free courier service. If your research requires you to find articles from journals and newspapers you can use our online indexes and to learn how to connect to these from off campus click here. If the items you need are not owned by Kimbel Library we can usually find them for you using our interlibrary loan service. NewSearchPath- will help you learn to find and critically evaluate information resources. Let us know how we can help you. Call the reference office at (843) 349-2410 or click here to email a librarian individually. Date Last Modified: Aug 22, 2005 Page URL: http://www.coastal.edu/library/offcampus.html |
