Kimbel Library: PresentationsFull-Text Articles at Your Fingertips:
You can access these articles from the library or even from home by logging in to "MyLibrary". However, you can also create permanent links and other shortcuts for quick access to a particular article or list of articles. These links can be included in WebCT pages as well documents, providing students and other readers with immediate access to an article or a list of articles. Due to licensing and subscription restrictions, readers who are not on-campus will need to log in to MyLibrary to view the article. If you are providing a link to a list of articles, the original search will be re-run, allowing any newer articles to appear in the list as well. Many of the databases also offer customized features for each user. Free personal accounts can be set up, allowing you save favorite journals or well-made searches for easy future access. Some databases also offer an alert feature. With this, you can receive an e-mail when the newest issue of a favorite journal is available online. You can also schedule a search to run on a regular basis, alerting you when new articles have been published on a subject of interest to you. The steps for accessing and creating links to these full-text articles vary for each database. Please see the specific instructions for using these features on some of our most popular databases by clicking below.
