Keyword searching
- Select "JSTOR-Search for articles" from database list
- Enter keywords into appropriate fields
- On search results page, click on the title of the article selected
- The database displays one page of the article at a time.
- To print or save the entire article, click on "PRINT" or "DOWNLOAD" from the options at the bottom of
the screen and follow the online instructions.
Journal searching
- Select "JSTOR-Browse Journals" from the database list. (or, while in JSTOR, choose BROWSE from options at top of
page.
- Click on subject areas to browse journals by subject or click "Alphabetical list of journals" to locate a specific
journal.
- Click on name of journal needed.
- Continue clicking on volume, issue, and article names to browse the journal.
Linking to full-text articles
The permanent link to a full-text article in JSTOR is called a "stable URL".
- While viewing the article online, go to the bottom of the web page and click on "Article Information"
- Highlight the link that appears after "Stable URL:", and copy it.
- Paste the link to document or website for student access.
Linking to searches
A permanent link cannot be created at this time. (JSTOR development team is taking this into consideration as they plan the next
release of features.)
