option. (See instructions above.)

available.
- By checking "Add to favorites", the journal title will be added to a list of journals that you wish to access
regularly.
- After an item has been added to your favorites, it will appear in a quick links list of journals and books on the main Science
Direct page anytime that you are logged in.
Linking to Full-text articles
Science Direct uses DOI (Digital Object Identifier) Link to give permanent access to a full-text article.
- While viewing the article, using the SummaryPlus or the Full Text plus Links, find the DOI link, located between the journal
title and the article title.
- The DOI link will look like this sample: "doi:10.1016/j.jad.2006.09.012", which is the correct format for citing a
DOI. (The document can be accessed with this information by going to the DOI site at http://dx.doi.org
, and entering that citation.)
- The actual link to the document would appear as follows: "
http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jad.2006.09.012". To copy this link, right-click on the DOI link, and choose "copy
shortcut".
- Paste the link to document or website for student access.
Linking to searches
There is not a way to save a permanent link to a search in Science Direct.
