Keyword Searching: InfoTrac OneFile as the example

• Select InfoTrac OneFile from the list of indexes
• Enter appropriate search terms. To limit the results to only full-text, put a check in the box for full-text articles.
• In the results screen, click on the article title to view the full-text

Journal Title Searching: InfoTrac OneFile as the example

To search for a specific journal:

• Select InfoTrac OneFile from the list of indexes
• On menu at left, select "Journal search"
• Enter name or partial name in search field and perform the search.
• In results page, click on Journal title to browse articles in that journal. (Select appropriate year, then the issue number, then specific article title.)

Linking to Full-text: InfoTrac OneFile as the example

InfoTrac OneFile provides an option called "InfoMarks" to provide a permanent URL link to a full-text article.

• While viewing the full-text article online, look at the top of screen for the InfoMark symbol (a lower-case "i" in a blue circle).
• The presence of the InfoMark symbol indicates that a persistent URL is available for that article. (The URL will continue to work in the future.)
• Click on the InfoMark symbol.
• In the pop-up window, copy the URL that you are given, and paste to document or website for student access.

Linking to Searches

As with the full-text articles, a link to recurring searches can be made by checking for an "InfoMark" symbol.

• After running a search and looking at the search results page, look at the top of screen for the InfoMark symbol.
• The presence of the InfoMark symbol indicates that a persistent URL is available. A persistent URL will re-generate your search, and link to the results of that search. The search results that appear when the link is accessed in the future will include any new articles in addition to the original search results.
• Click on the InfoMark symbol.
• In the pop-up window, copy the URL that you are given, and paste to document or website for student access.
