Library Instruction: Top 5 Ways to Make Your Library Session a Success
- Establish a specific reason for your library instruction session, such as a paper or group project and schedule accordingly.
- Make sure the class has a least a general understanding of your expectations for the assignment.
- Prior to your session, discuss the goals and projected outcomes with the librarian. A copy of the assignment and syllabus will
allow for a more tailored LI session and bring any questions to the foreground.
- Make yourself available to answer questions that may arise during the course of instruction.
- Maintain an open dialogue with the librarian and provide feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the session.
