Faces of Science: African-Americans in the Sciences
Biographies of African American's "who have contributed to the advancement of science and engineering". Search using the alphabetical index or by field of contribution.

History of Mathematics
The archive contains biographies & bibliographic references for more than 1,100 mathematicians. Access is via the alphabetical, chronological, or biographical indexes.

Inventor's Hall of Fame
Great place to find a biographical sketch on your favorite inventor. This site is searchable by inventor's name or by the invention.

Nobel Laureates in Physics, 19001 - 2003
"A list in reverse chronological order of the award winners with brief biographical information and a description of the discovery taken from the Nobel Foundation's text describing each Laureate's discovery and other sources".

The Humanities:

Biographies of American Architects, 1897 - 1947

The Nobel Foundation
Learn about the Nobel Prize winners in all categories-- from the inception of the prize to the most recent winners.

Biographical Dictionary
Dictionary provides "biographical information on over 18,000 people" throughout history. Lists birth and death years, profession, positions held, and achievements.
