Welcome to Kimbel Library
Kimbel Library of Coastal Carolina University strives to provide the resources and services essential for student success and faculty research. As the center of the academic community, the library provides facilities for study, research, and collaboration.
Library Resources
High tech study rooms are available for group work, viewing movies or listening to music, practicing presentations, and conferencing with collaborators via Skype. The library and information commons buildings are open 24/7 throughout most of the semester. The library is a wireless facility and laptops are available for checkout. Windows and Mac desktops are available throughout the building.
The library offers a wide range of databases to support research. If you need help finding the appropriate resource or developing a search strategy, the reference desk staff is available for in-person consultations, or via the Ask a Librarian Service (phone, email questions, or virtual chat).
The library participates in PASCAL Delivers and interlibrary loan making available millions of resources not owned by Kimbel Library.
Kimbel Library prides itself in its "high tech, high touch" approach to education with its utilization of technology in a caring and friendly environment. Library staff are here to develop information literate students who have the skills to succeed in the university and to become productive citizens of this global community.
