Education majors are required to use LiveText throughout the program in the Spadoni College of Education. The extent to which the software will be used will vary between classes. Certain graduate students are also required to use LiveText. The following details the licensing procedures for all students.
Freshmen, Transfer students taking the introductory Education courses (EDUC 110, EDUC 115, EDUC 116, EDUC 117, EDPE 131)
Students will be billed a $68.20 lab fee for a five-year LiveText license. Their instructor will arrange for an in-class session where the students will receive their packet, establish their account and have basic LiveText training.
MAT Candidates
Students will be billed a $68.20 lab fee for a five-year license the first semester they enroll in the program (typically Summer I). Their instructor will arrange for an in-class session where the students will receive their packet, establish their account and have basic LiveText training.
Transfer Students exempt from taking the introductory Education course, Degree Seeking M.Ed. Students, upperclassmen who were never required to purchase LiveText
Students will go to the Bursar's Office and pay $68.20 for the LiveText license. They will then take their receipt to Kearns
114-C to receive their packet and account setup information.
Returning Spadoni College of Education Alumni
Graduate students who attended CCU as undergraduates MAY already have an account and will not need to purchase a new license. Contact LiveText technical support or e-mail livetext@coastal.edu to check on account status.
IMPORTANT - Any student who took UNIV 110, The First-Year Experience, during the period fall 2006-spring 2008 MAY already have a LiveText account. A new LiveText account is not necessary. Further information is available on the Student Information link.
