The HTC Center is home to University Recreation, an integral dimension of the total educational experience. Involvement in activities not only creates excitement, enjoyment and socialization but also promotes a productive, healthy, holistic lifestyle.
Stretch First
Help yourself avoid injuries by stretching each time you exercise. Simple stretches before and after you workout or engage in physical activity can help keep you active and pain free.
Ride your Bike
Instead of taking the bus or driving to campus, try biking instead. It will give you a few minutes of exercise between your classes and there is always a parking space for your bicycle! To learn more about the Coastal Cycles program click here.
Join a Sports Team
One way to get yourself motivated to exercise is to make it a game by playing a sport. Join an intramural team or play club sports to get active, meet friends and have fun.
Make it Fun
You probably won't work out if you are bored with your routine or dislike going to the gym. Find a way to make it fun for yourself and you'll be much more likely to keep it up.
Take Advantage of Open Spaces
Coastal Carolina University is equipped with large open areas and lawns. Take advantage of these spaces to walk, run or check out Outdoor Adventures for planned activities.
