Living Safely @ CCU
Coastal Carolina University is dedicated to providing a safe environment for students. Maintaining that environment requires everyone’s participation. As a member of the Coastal community, we want you to know about the resources available to help keep our community safe.
On this page, you will find links connecting you to safety and security resources. You will also find quick reference contact information for CCU Department of Public Safety and other local public safety agencies.
Your overall safety on campus requires establishing safety habits in your everyday life – lock your doors and windows, protect your possessions, know an escape route in case of emergencies, always tell someone who you are with and where you are going. Planning ahead, preparation and prevention are the most important steps for living safely.
CCU’s Silent Witness program is a very effective anonymous program you can use to help keep yourself and your environment safe. If you see something say something. Utilize the Silent Witness email address and the Text-a-Tip Line to anonymously report crime and/or suspicious activity.
