names new Director of Alumni Relations
Christi
Goldman Chambers began serving as director of Alumni
Relations in the Office of University Relations at Coastal
Carolina
University in May 2004.
Her duties include planning alumni events, advising the
Student Alumni Ambassadors and serving as a liaison between
the Alumni Association, its board of directors
and the university. She also maintains contact and develops relationships
with Coastal’s more than 11,000 alumni.
Chambers earned a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Coastal in 1992.
She has primarily worked in the public relations/marketing field in both residential
and commercial real estate since graduating from Coastal. She has moved back
to the area from Manassas, Va., where for the past four years she was public
relations and marketing director for a $200 million highway redevelopment project
(Rt. 28 Corridor Improvements Project) done by Clark Construction Group, Inc.
Chambers is married to commercial airline pilot Victor
Chambers and they have son, Austen Jack (A.J.). She
is a member of Council for Advancement
and Support
of Education (CASE), South Carolina Association of Alumni Directors (SCAAD)
and the Kiwanis Club of Conway, S.C.
