| New
athletic logo unveiled |
|
A
tougher, more competitive looking Chanticleer
is depicted in a new logo which has been unveiled
by Coastals athletic department.
Matt
Hogue, assistant athletics director for marketing,
says the modern design will help Coastal with
its brandname identity. In recent years, redesigning
static logos has become a major trend in intercollegiate
athletics.
Coastals
athletic department, much like the university,
is continuing to grow and experience a great deal
of success, said Hogue. We felt that
with the onset of football, the timing was right
to make this change. It is symbolic of whats
going on at the school. Coastal Carolina University
is on the move.
According
to Hogue, the new logo was produced by Chris Henwood
Designs, which over the last few years has also
designed logos for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans,
Illinois State University, the Sun Belt Conference
and numerous minor league baseball programs.
The
new logo is going to give the athletic department
much more versatility and flexibility in terms
of what we can put on uniforms, practice gear,
helmets, stationary and the like. And a great
residual of this will be the opportunities well
have with our merchandising shirts, hats
and other products that will be available for
all Chanticleer fans to purchase and proudly display.
