Preston McKever-Floyd has been a member of the faculty since 1980. He holds the Doctor of Philosophy in philosophy from the University of South Carolina, 2009, the Master of Divinity, Duke University, 1979, and Bachelor of Arts (philosophy), Virginia State University, 1977. Advanced studies (Ph.D. level): Northwestern University (philosophy and theology), 1983-84; Emory University (religion and literature), 1985-86. He also serves as the University chaplain.
