Applied Mathematics Minor

Statistics Minor
The discipline of statistics comprises a body of techniques for the effective collection, organization, communication, and summarization of data. A statistician is involved in the science of decision making under uncertainty. The emphasis of the statistics program at Coastal is to facilitate interdisciplinary research with majors like biology, chemistry, computer science, or marine science. A minor in statistics blended with another major strengthens employment opportunities as well as candidacy for graduate school.
