Audition FAQ
ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS THAT WAIVE OUT-OF-STATE TUITION?
There is no Music scholarship that waives all of the out-of-state tuition; however, the Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship for out-of-state students does greatly reduce the tuition rate as long as the student meets the minimum academic requirements.
MAY I AUDITION ON MORE THAN ONE INSTRUMENT?
Let us know of your interest in having two (or more) auditions when you register or email musicauditions@coastal.edu with information about what additional auditions you would like to perform.
HOW CAN I LEARN ABOUT OTHER FINANCIAL AID OPPORTUNITIES AT CCU?
For academic scholarship information, visit CCU Financial Aid.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN UNSUCCESSFUL AUDITION?
Students who do not successfully pass the music department will be offered a probationary status for their first semester and will be evaluated on their progress. At that time, they can re-audition for entry into the Department of Music as a music major.
WHAT IF I THINK OF MORE QUESTIONS?
Questions and concerns about auditions or the admissions process should be directed to musicauditions@coastal.edu or call 843-349-2637.
