Awards will be offered after the
receipt of a qualified, completed admission application, academic documentation
and review of the candidate’s abilities through audition.
Awards will be renewed annually
if students complete all requirements as specified by the CCU Scholarship
Office and attend rehearsals and performances as mandated by the Conductor,
if applicable to the major. Funding is available for a maximum of four
academic years.
Additional financial assistance
for winds and percussionistsis is provided through the Chanticleer Band
Program Award and Marching Band Stipends. Information about these awards
can be found on the Spirit of the Chanticleer
Marching Band website.
Ensemble Participation Stipends
Stipends are available depending
upon ability, ensemble instrumentation needs, and other qualifications
as specified by the Music Faculty. A brief audition is required, and
money is awarded regardless of major. Please email the conductor of
the specific ensemble for specific information.
Stipends are available for Concert,
Pep, and Jazz Bands, POP 101, and Choral Ensembles.
A Note About Stipends
Chanticleer Band Program Awards and Ensemble Participation Stipends are credited to the student's account at the end of each semester. In other words, you have to complete the requirements of the semester before being credited the award. All awards that require participation
prior to being credited to the student's account will show on Webadvisor as an
award with an 'E' action status. This allows the student to see the award
pending and the Financial Aid Office to budget the award in their account.
The Bursar's Office does not see awards with an 'E' status, so these awards
will not show on any bills.
