The mission of the CCU Gospel Choir is to give students a positive activity to not only occupy their time, but to also uplift them spiritually. Membership in the Gospel Choir helps to develop responsibility, teamwork, poise, and a sense of service to the community. Membership in Gospel Choir is open to any student currently enrolled at CCU. Although gospel music has strong ties to the African America church, this group accepts EVERYONE with no regard to their racial background or religious affiliation. The CCU Gospel Choir is a member of the Student Activities area of the university and not an official ensemble of the Music Department.
