Jazz After Hours is Coastal's popular big
band and consists of standard jazz band instrumentation of rhythm, saxes,
trombone, and trumpets. Jazz After Hours provides a professional
atmosphere for students interested in the many aspects of jazz. The
repertoire of this group covers musical styles from the 1940s to the
present, and includes guest soloists and artists on semi-annual concerts.
This ensemble is open by audition to any Coastal student, regardless
of major and rehearses one night per week.
