Erin Althoff (violin) is a native of Ohio. While in residence there, she performed with such ensembles as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra, and was the associate concertmaster with the Wooster Symphony Orchestra (1990-1993). Ms. Althoff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Coastal Carolina University and studied violin performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, she is the associate concertmaster with the Long Bay Symphony (2000 to present) and performs regularly with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the South Carolina Philharmonic. Ms. Althoff is first violinist in the Tidelands Trio, Strand Strings, and the Long Bay Symphony chamber ensemble. Erin holds a position on the music faculty at Coastal Carolina University teaching applied violin and viola, while maintaining a private string studio in her home.
