Coastal Carolina University's Department of Theatre presents the Uncommon Hour Recital Series, a set of four recitals featuring senior musical theatre majors scheduled during the Spring 2012 semester. All recitals will be held in the Recital Hall in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts and are free and open to the public.

The recital schedule goes as follows:

* Friday, Jan. 13, 1 to 2 p.m. Sydney Hough and Robert Stetson

* Friday, Jan. 20, 1 to 2 p.m. Shana Meyer and and Ryan Shaefer

* Friday, Feb. 10, 1 to 2 p.m. Meredith Gratton and Matthew McCoy

* Friday, March 2, 1 to 2 p.m. Emily Brockway and Caleb Jernigan

The recital series is designed to give senior students the opportunity to showcase their best repertoire as they prepare to embark on their professional careers. The recitals will feature musical selections by such industry luminaries as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, Gershwin and Bernstein, as well as a variety of lesser known "uncommon" contemporary works. Steven Gross, associate professor of theatre, is the director of the series.
