The show investigates whether it is possible to use hypnosis to brainwash participants. It explores whether we truly are in command of our own minds and follows a hypnotherapist and a group of scientists as they embark on an audacious experiment to see if ordinary people can be brainwashed and turned into assassins.

Meyersburg earned a Ph.D. in psychology at Harvard University, where she just completed a postdoctoral fellowship. She has conducted studies on false memory.
