CCU Alumni Board announces new members for 2014

Members of the Coastal Carolina University Alumni Association Board have elected three new members.

Alicia Grier of Myrtle Beach, Mark A. Singleton of Conway and Treda Smith Grayson of Bowie, Md., join 18 other members of the alumni board.

Grier is a senior accountant for Integra Fabrics. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from CCU in 2010 and an MBA in 2012. She is a member of gsScene, an organization for young professionals.

Singleton is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, from which he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He is president and a corporate partner of SIIG and was formerly a special operations adviser to the Horry County Police Department. Singleton graduated from CCU in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Grayson is an aquatic biologist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in marine science in 1999 from CCU and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2004. She is president-elect of the Atlantic Estuarine Research Society (AERS), which is the Mid-Atlantic affiliate of the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation.

Medley, Todd Setzer (second vice president), Daniel P. Sine (chairman), Paul M. Sweeney (secretary and treasurer) and Shawn L. Toole.
