Percussion ensemble concert to be held at CCU

   
The Coastal Carolina University Percussion Ensemble will present an evening of percussion works, featuring both classic and contemporary music on Tuesday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. General admission is $5.

The selections include “Bonham” by Christopher Rouse, which was inspired by the late drummer from Led Zeppelin, John Bonham. The ensemble will also be performing a new work for keyboard percussion by up and coming composer Ivan Trevino, titled “Six.”

The finale of the concert will be “Cyclone” by Jim Casella.

Members of the Percussion Ensemble include Bill Flynn, DeAndrae Preston, Kyle Brewster, Nathan Culp, Mark Kendree, Cailin Aucoin, Tim Forline, Kyle Hutton, Johnny Richeson, Justin Brooks and Wade McMillan.

Tickets are $5 for general admission, $3 for CCU/HGTC students, faculty and staff; admission is free for children accompanied by an adult. The Wheelwright Auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park Circle on the CCU campus in Conway.
