Art play at CCU explores the meaning of art, friendship

Art, a Tony-award winning play by Yasmina Reza, will be performed at Coastal Carolina University Jan. 20 to 23 at Coastals Wall Auditorium.

A production of Upstage Company, the comedy/drama will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23. Tickets are $5 general admission. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for the Tsunami victims.

Art is described by director-actor Jason Adams as a thought-provoking play that deals with the meaning of art and of friendship. The Circle K Club and the Coastal Alumni Asscoiation are sponsoring the production. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Call 349-2087 for more information.
