Art play at CCU explores the meaning of art, friendship
A production of Upstage Company, the comedy/drama will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23. Tickets are $5 general admission. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for the Tsunami victims.
Art is described by director-actor Jason Adams as a thought-provoking play that deals with the meaning of art and of friendship. When one man buys a painting that he loves for an exorbitant sum, his two best friends question his taste and his sanity, and a skirmish breaks out among them that threatens their friendship.
Starring in the play are Julian Colletta as Ivan, Chris Bergamo as Mark and Adams as Serge. Colletta is a Coastal drama student. Bergamo and Adams are CCU graduates.
