Lecture on Chinas economic growth offered at CCU

Two lectures on Chinas economic growth since the inception of a free-market economy are being offered at two of Coastal Carolina Universitys campuses on Thursday, Feb. 3.

China: The Sleeping Giant Wakes will be the topic of a talk by Ed Williams, president of TraveLearn, who has visited China 20 times since the early 1980s, witnessing firsthand Chinas spectacular economic growth.

The lectures will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at University Hall on Coastals Conway campus and from 1 to 4 p.m. at CCUs Waccamaw Higher Education Center. The lecture fee is $15; afternoon tea will be served at the Waccamaw Center at 160 Willbrook Blvd. just west of the Hampton Inn in Litchfield.
