Registration, open houses set for CCU's Lifelong Learning

Registration is currently under way for fall noncredit courses of Lifelong Learning, offered by Coastal Carolina University at its campuses in Conway, Myrtle Beach, Litchfield and Georgetown. Open houses and orientation sessions to meet the instructors and learn more about classes are scheduled at each location.

The Division of Academic Outreach at Coastal is offering more than 175 Lifelong Learning courses during the day and evening hours, which include subjects such as art and photography, computer technology, foreign languages, history and government, literature and writing, music, theater and film, personal growth and skills, religion and philosophy, and science and nature.

Open houses are as follows:

- Thursday, Sept. 8, 1 to 3 p.m.

Myrtle Beach Higher Education Center, 349-4051

Located in the Myrtle Square Mall at 2501 Kings Highway

- Friday, Sept. 9, 1 to 3 p.m.

Conway - University Hall, second floor, 349-4051

Entering from U.S. 501, University Hall is the first Coastal building on the right; from S.C. 544, it is the last building on the left.

- Sunday, Sept. 25, 1 to 4 p.m.? Waccamaw Higher Education Center, 349-4032? Turn west at the Willbrook Boulevard/Piggly Wiggly light in Litchfield; the Center is between the Hampton Inn and the fire station.

- Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1 to 3 p.m.

Georgetown Higher Education Center, 349-4032

In the Georgetown Shopping Plaza on North Fraser Street (also U.S. 701), next to Peebles.

Courses begin in Conway and Myrtle Beach in September and in Georgetown and Waccamaw in early October. To receive a copy of the catalog, you may call or visit any of the centers prior to the Open House. Course descriptions are also available on our Web site at www.coastal.edu/outreach.
